Tucked just beyond Toronto’s urban pulse, The Liberty Inn offers a serene escape defined by purpose and embraced by nature. Set in a secluded pocket in Caledon, Ontario, the inn seamlessly combines quaint rooms and incredible, curated amenities in a relaxed, rustic-like vibe. Do yourself a favour: leave the hustle behind, and covet the calm that wraps you in a warm, soothing cocoon the moment you arrive.

A 19th-Century Landmark, Thoughtfully Reimagined

The Liberty Inn

Character-rich craftsmanship blends with contemporary charm and creature comforts. Not to mention a wellness spa to further elevate the experience. Originally built in 1855, the building - one of Canada’s oldest stone and brick structures - served as a post office, general store, even a Prohibition-era speakeasy. In 2022, current co-owners Bruno Roldan and Jacqui Liberty acquired the property, and working closely with Tiffany Leigh Designs, set about restoring the historic gem with the aim of combining comfort with nostalgia, warmth with authenticity.

Debuting in 2025, five exclusive, enveloping suites, each equipped with a kitchen and cozy living area inspire pause and reconnection. Jacqui herself - also the owner of Soft Fire Ceramics - hand designed 10,000 tiles across the inn’s interior space, created all the ceramic plates, mugs and pots in each of the suites’ kitchens, and even distilled her own essential oils, adding a personalized scent that permeates throughout the inn. The space also doubles up as an art gallery, showcasing a curated collaboration with five local artists whose works grace the property and bring character to every suite.

Nature at Your Doorstep in Caledon

The Liberty Inn

Outside, adventure is always just around the corner. Forks of the Credit Provincial Park, the Caledon Ski Club, and the links at TPC Toronto at Osprey Valley are all located nearby. Onsite, and in the spring, guests are encouraged to stroll and savour the over 2,000 bulbs, including tulips and daffodils that fill the inn’s sprawling, colourful garden.

A Private Spa, All to Yourself

The Liberty Inn

Then there’s the spa, of course. Naturally surrounded by towering maple, pine and birch trees, Liberty Inn’s serene, Scandinavian-inspired Nordic Spa relaxes and reinvigorates. While many spas offer a communal guest experience, Bruno and Jacqui opted for a more private, personal spa environment. During your booking, the spa is exclusively yours, allowing for indulgence, reflection and enjoyment at your own pace, free from distraction. Your wellness journey begins by soaking in the cedar hot tub, reaching optimal zen in the Finnish sauna, culminating in the crisp cold plunge. Repeat to your heart’s content.

Suites Designed for Slow Living

As evening turns to night, warm up with a steam shower, put on a cozy weighted bathrobe, and pamper yourself with the inn’s complimentary holistic skin care products. Snuggle up and watch a movie, dive into a good book near the fireplace, or pick from a collection of vintage vinyl records. Yes, you can actually drop the needle all while relaxing with a Kala Red Light Therapy Mask on your GOTS certified organic cotton sheets and supportive pillow top mattress. Wake up refreshed with a fridge stocked with provisions, including coffee, fresh fruit, ready-to-bake croissants, eggs and jams, all best enjoyed in the intimate dining nook, complete with romantic garden views.

A Destination for Life’s Most Meaningful Moments

Naturally, and immediately upon opening, the Liberty Inn became an instant hit as an ideal destination for special occasions. Tangible touches include thoughtfully curated handwritten gift cards, artisanal cakes, and the vibrant colours and fragrant scents of the inn’s onsite gardens into every suite. Be it birthdays, proposals or anniversaries, the Liberty Inn sets your mind at ease, meticulously executing a refined experience that’s designed to mark special moments in a meaningful, thoughtful and intimate way. But make no mistake, whether you’re celebrating a joyous event or simply booking a weekend escape, Bruno and Jacqui leave no stone unturned and no stained glass unpolished. Thanks to consistently amplifying the finer details, every guest experience feels connected and elevated. At the Liberty Inn, excellence isn’t optional - it’s built-in.
